The 4th battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya frontier yesterday foiled an attempt of miscreants to smuggle Phensedyl cough syrup across the international border into Bangladesh.
The BSF seized 375 bottles of the banned drug in East Khasi Hills.
The BSF Meghalaya also seized huge quantities of sugar through a special operation in different areas along the International border of Meghalaya.
The seized items were handed over to the concerned customs office for further action, the press release said.
