The National Institute of Technology Meghalaya held its 10th Convocation at the State Convention Centre here today.
A total number of 238 students received their degrees, out of which 147 are B Tech, 26 are M Tech, 31 MSc and 34 PhD.
The President Gold Medal was given to Salik Ahmad of the Department of of Civil Engineering based on overall performance in academic and co-curricular activities across all the programs.
Gold Medals were awarded to Akshat Choudhary (M.Tech), Prerana Bakli (M.Sc) and Deeshant Bhattacharjee (B.Tech), for best academic performance in the respective programs. The institute’s Silver medals were awarded to students for the best academic performance in the respective department and programs.
Director General of North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR) Dr. Arun Kumar Sarma and Executive Director, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. Upananda Kataki attended the ceremony as guests.
NIT Meghalaya Director Prof. Pinakeswar Mahanta, Chairperson of the Board of Governors Sunil Alagh, members of the board and Senate, faculty members, graduate students, staff, parents, and other distinguished guests were also present at the ceremony.
