Meghalaya Tourism has initiated a new addition to the cultural calendar of the state – the inaugural Krimkro Music Festival.
With the aim of enhancing the splendour of the 100 Drums Wangala Festival, this music extravaganza will follow on the traditional event’s heels and will be held on November 11 at Baljek Jengjal.
The festival will feature a diverse line-up of bands and performers, like Dotdrong & Chigring ensemble by MOA, Chegim Durama, G-Hills Finest, Da Surakarta, NOKPANTE and Shammy & The Band.
In addition, the festival will also feature the winners of the Folk Song Competition 2023, held at the prestigious Wangala Festival.
Adding a touch of drama and storytelling to the evening, A’chik Theatre Tura will grace the stage with a captivating drama performance that is sure to leave the audience in awe. And for those who appreciate the beauty of folk instruments, the Rongdiping Socio Culture Club from Resu will enchant with their masterful folk instrumental performance.
