Shillong College won the NEHU Inter College Football (Men) Tournament beating St. Anthony’s College 3-1 in the final here at the SAI Football Ground at the university campus.
The winners received their trophies from chief guest NEHU Registrar Prof. SR Joshi, Mawlai MLA Brightstarwell Marbaniang was also present as guest of honour.
All together 32 affiliated colleges to University including NEHU UG & PG students of Shillong Campus and Tura Campus including teams’ officials; more than 700 participants took part in the tournament.
NEHU Sports Department incharge Prof. L. Kma, Prof. K. Debberma, Department of Pol. Science, NEHU, Dr. C. Mukhim, Chief Medical Officer cum In Charge, Health Center, NEHU and Raj Mallick, Deputy Registrar (Exam), NEHU and N. Das, Assistant Director (PE & Sports) cum Organising Secretary of the tournament were present among others.
