A new locality called Kusimkolgre Council Gittam has been created by a resolution of the people of Kusimkolgre –B locality of Williamnagar Township.
Henceforth, Kusimkolgre-B will be known by its new name, a press statement from the locality said.
The resolution was passed in a general meeting of all the resident of Kusimkolgre-B held on July 8, 2023 which was attended by all the 56 land owners of the area who are organized as the Kusumkolgre- B Land Owners Association (K-BLOA) and unanimously passed this resolution.
The meeting also resolved that the administration body of the locality will be henceforth called Kusimkolgre (Council Gittam) Residents Community. At the same time, till new leaders are not elected the meeting resolved that the leaders of the K-BLOA shall fully function as the leaders of the Kusimkolgre (Council Gittam) Residents Community.
The President is Ballensing Ch Marak, Vice- President Gamchi Timre R Marak, Secretary, Kennedy K Marak, Joint Secretary David R Marak, Accountant Ricky D Shira, Treasurer Willnen B Marak, Legal Adivsor Challang A Ch Marak and other executive committee members.
The press statement said that this step was taken after it was informed to them that the Napak Mahari Kusimkolgre Aking had officially informed the residents that the Nokma’s office could no longer be able to issue any kind of documents or certificates to the residents in Kusimkolgre-B locality area. As this created a vacuum, people of the locality after deep discussion saw that they had no other choice but set up their own administration and they decided to bifurcate Kusimkolgre-B from Kusimkolgre-A and thus set up the locality under its new name. This was all done to facilitate the civic needs of the residents of the locality, the statement added.
