An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred on Sunday evening in West Khasi Hills.
The earthquake struck at around 7:53pm at a depth of 10km, according to the National Centre for Seismology. No casualties or significant damage have been reported so far.
Tremors were also felt in Shillong, other parts of the state and neighbouring Assam.
