The revised height of Tura Peak is now taller by 309.1 meters.
The Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) made the announcement in a letter to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest on February 22, 2023
The district council said the new height of the peak, measured using gagan dongle of NESAC, stands at 1,181.10 meters.
Earlier the peak measured 872 metres above sea level.
