The Shillong Centre of Medical and Sales Representatives Union (CRU) held its annual general meeting on January 3.
The meeting was presided over by Partha Deb, president of Shillong CRU. Sandeep Das from Alkem was elected as secretary of the Laitumkhrah local committee, Sandeep Das from ICPA as office bearer of Polo local committee and Pankaj Deb of Leben Life Sciences as office bearer of the Laban local committee.
Several resolutions were also adopted, namely a call for no GST to be charged on medicines, for 5 per cent of the GDP to be used on healthcare and the ban on online sale of medicines.
