The BSF handed over a Bangladeshi minor boy to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on the international border of South Garo Hills. He had inadvertently crossed the international boundary and entered Indian territory on December 25.
The patrolling party from BSF Rongara outpost under 43 Battalion intercepted the boy while he was roaming near the international border.
The boy disclosed that he was not aware of the alignment of the international boundary and entered into Indian territory unintentionally.
He was identified as Sahid (15) from Goragaon village under Netrakona district of Bangladesh.
The BGB has praised the good will gesture by BSF during the meeting in which the boy was handed over to them.
