A woman wanted in four cases of drug peddling, who is also suspected to be the main supplier of drugs, and a financer were arrested by police.
The East Jaiñtia Hills Anti-Narcotic Task Force had arrested the wanted woman, identified as Kim Khongsai after a naka was laid by the Khliehriat police yesterday.
Kim was planning to move from Jiribam in Manipur to Shillong, East Jaiñtia Hills police said in a press statement today.
Following her revelation during a preliminary interrogation about the involvement of one Rihun Dkhar as the financers in one of the case a team from the district conducted a joint operation with the ANTF in East Khasi Hills and nabbed the woman from her residence in Lumsohphoh.
The team seized 29.05 gms of heroin packed in three soap cases, 10 tobacco tins and a vial containing residue of the drug and two mobile phones.
