Two residents of Assam were arrested by anti-narcotics police from a city hotel today with a quarter kilogramme of heroin in their possession.
The duo, one a 26-year-old from Badarpur, Karimganj, and the other a 31-year-old from Katigorah, Silchar, were picked up from Hotel Serene on GS Road.
In all, 250.64g of heroin in 20 soap boxes was found in their possession. Police also seized two mobile phones, laptop bag and their identity cards. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered against them at Sadar police station.
