Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh today congratulated arm wrestlers Margaret Pathaw and Angel Mary Mylliem Umlong Khunsyiem, who took part in the 43rd World Arm Wrestling Championship in Turkey.
Pathaw won gold in the Master Women’s 60kg Left Hand competition, while Khunsyiem took bronze in the same category.
Alexander Lyngdoh also claimed bronze in the Standing Men 80kg Hearing Impaired category.
Altogether, there were nine Meghalayans who represented India at the event.
