The Mihmyntdu Community Social Welfare Association today inaugurated a training centre called, ‘Home Health Aide Skill Training’ at Salaroh in Jowai funded by the Meghalaya State Skill Development Society (MSSDS).
The training centre aims at imparting skills to youth as home health aide who will provide assistance to a patient in the home with personal care.
West Jaiñtia Hills Additional Deputy Commissioner, D.D Syngai who inaugurated the centre informed that 30 youth have been selected to undergo training to be assisted by medical professionals in taking care of patients and elderly.
Director of the association, Dr. J.N Shullai said the centre will offer support to patients.
MSSDS SDO Lambormi Suchen, Dame H. Pde of the Symjuk ki Waheh Shnong Jowai, Dr. N. Nongpluh Medical Superintendent of Narman Tunnel Hospital Jowai, Aris Nongkynrih Chief Functionary, MCSWA also spoke at the programme.
