Meritorious students from three villages in East Jaiñtia Hills district were today felicitated by the management of Topcem Cement Company at a function held at Thangskai village community hall.
These students are from Cheiruphi, Thangskai and Wahiajer villages who secured highest marks in the SSLC examination. The prize consists of Rs. 16, 500 to Imonme Lapasam, Rs.12, 100 to Emekideibha Lyngdoh and Rs 8000 to Pynilad Syrti.
Local Director of Meghalaya Cement Ltd, Phon Syih, Senior Manager Topcem, MK Jain, HR head, Mukesh Kr. Upadhaya, waheh shnongs and secretaries of the three villages were present on the occasion.
President of Meghalaya Cement Ltd, RK Pareek said the felicitation programme was a step to encourage and support students to do well in studies, because education is a powerful weapon.
