A three-day exhibition called, ‘Ayurveda Parv’ to focus on Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy is underway at the State Convention Centre, here.
The exhibition is being organised by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) and will conclude tomorrow.
The organisers said that the exhibition is open for the public and aims for proper utilization of Ayurvedic health care as well as for coordination and better utilization of Ayurvedic education, research, and manufacturing of medicines.
“We look forward to developing and promoting new platforms of medicinal treatment through the exhibition, not just for these three days but year round and beyond and that would meet the agenda and the purpose with which we initiated the program,” ASSOCHAM– East & North East Senior Director said Perminderjeet Kaur said.
She said the exhibition presents a platform to showcase and explore various health and wellness opportunities and provides access to information and knowledge connected with AYUSH.
Informing that the Ministry of AYUSH is supporting the government’s initiative to promote medical tourism through ‘Ayurveda Parv’, the organiser said Meghalaya and its neighbouring regions, which are home to a diversity of medicinal plants, has the potential to become a pioneer in the study, production, and consumption of natural goods and traditional medicines.
A business meeting is also being held at the venue with an aim to give stakeholders a forum for networking and ayurveda promotion. Free doctor clinics for the general public and technical lectures for professionals are also included in the show.
The three main attractions are the display of medicinal plants and public lectures on health and Ayurveda.
