The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival, 2021 won three awards in three of the heaviest categories at the recently concluded Wow Awards Asia, 2022 at Jio World Convention Centre held in Mumbai on August 19 and 20.
WOW Awards Asia is a reputed recognition platform in the world for events encompassing almost every aspect of the event industry in Asia and the Middle East. It is an initiative of EVENTFAQs in collaboration EEMA and KPMG in India as the process advisors and evaluators. The judging process has been further strengthened on top of having top industry professionals from around the world as judges.
The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival won two Gold in the “Festival of the Year-Art/Culture/Lifestyle” and “Best Tourism Event” and Silver in “Concert of the year”.
The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival was organized by Meghalaya Tourism and managed by Rockski EMG.
The organizers attribute the success of the festival to all those involved whom without their rigorous and full hearted effort, the recognition wouldn’t have been possible, a press release said.
