Peeved with the inconveniences faced by residents who have to use the dilapidated road from Liarbang to Mawlasnai, the Raid Nongtung unit of the Hynñiewtrep Youths Council (HYC) shot off a memorandum to Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, who is also the Public Works Department (Roads) Minister, demanding immediate repairs.
The HYC said that the deplorable road condition, which has been a bane for years, causes particular difficulties for students and medical patients.
If the road is not repaired soon, the HYC will hold meetings with village leaders to chalk out an agitational plan.
