The Ampati unit of the A’chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM) has submitted a memorandum to the Director of Health Services regarding a non-functional X-ray machine at Ampati Civil Hospital.
The X-ray machine has been non-functional since 2019, the pressure group said.
This lack of a key piece of medical equipment has gravely affected members of the public, AHAM told the Director. Patients are often referred to Tura in the absence of an X-ray machine and other equipment and staff at Ampati, it added.
The Director reportedly promised that a working X-ray machine will be installed in Ampati Civil Hospital soon.
