The North East Adventist English Church, Khliehtyrshi, celebrated their Annual Global Youth Day yesterday by donating blood. The theme was ‘Be the Sermon’,
The blood drive was jointly conducted by the church and Jowai Civil Hospital Blood Bank under the guidance of the medical team led by Dr P Shylla.
Twenty-five youths donated blood – 20 males and five female.
Besides the blood donation drive, the church also visited an orphanage home and deaddiction centre. A cleaning drive was also held on Friday.
Dr Shylla, who is in charge of the blood bank, thanked the youths for their continuous support and cooperation towards this noble cause.
