The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association (MUPSTA) has decided to continue with its agitations against the state government over its demands to upgrade ad hoc schools with a sit-in on February 25.
The demonstration on that day will run from 11am to 3pm across the state.
The decision was taken at MUPSTA’s central executive committee meeting held on February 10 here.
District headquarters across Meghalaya will witness their own sit-ins at venues to be decided by the district leaders of MUPSTA.
MUPSTA wants the state government to fully upgrade all 844 ad hoc upper primary schools in Meghalaya to the deficit system.
