The West Khasi Hills district administration has cancelled certain activities involving large gathering amid rise of Covid-19 Omicron variant in the country.
“All permissions issued earlier by the office which includes fetes/ fishing competitions/ rallies/ festivals/ picnics/ sports tournament/ large religious gathering stand cancelled with immediate effect and until further orders,” an order by the deputy commissioner in charge today said.
