The Border Security Force (BSF) completed a four week training of at least 50 youth for pre recruitment in various security departments in the country.
As per a release by the BSF – Meghalaya, youths were drawn in from the villages of Dumnikora , Bilkona, Kapasipara,Gasuapara, Namchapara and Jatapara in AOR of BOP Dumnikora under 55 BN BSF, SHQ Tura were chosen for the program.
A dedicated team of 10 personnel in specialised subjects were tasked to prepare the youths (27 boys and 23 girls) for selection in various ranks in central armed police and other armed agencies.
The training lasted four weeks and was taken in two periods in the morning and four periods in the evening on a daily basis.
“The trainees were trained in physical fitness and coaching in various subjects like Maths, English, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs. The aim was to prepare and familiarize them for appearing in these recruitment exams,” said the BSF release.
To boost the youths in their training interactions were held between them and Alok Kumar Singh, DIG, SHQ BSF Tura , K N Tripathi, Comdt, 55 BN BSF, Vikash Sudriyal, Second In Command 55 BN BSF and DD Sharma, AC, Coy Comdr.
“They were briefed and motivated to be a part of the elite forces and in becoming successful, responsible and disciplined personnel. They were facilitated by providing kit, clothing, books and meals to enhance their physical and mental capabilities,” said the release.
The 55 BN BSF added that it has taken the responsibility to help them in any field even after completion of the training program and inform of any recruitment in central forces while thanking the principal of Father Sebastian School Dumikora, Nokmas of all neighbouring villages and the youths for their enthusiasm during training.
