The Jail Road Welfare Committee (JRWC) has reappointed all the members of its executive committee for a further three-year period.
The JRWC held its annual general meeting earlier this month where representatives of all the zones and elders took part.
The JRWC appreciated the help it has received, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, from the Deputy Commissioner, police, local MLA and others. It also appreciated the efforts of the executive committee and it was unanimously agreed that the present body should continue for another term.
Key officials reelected are Prosenjit Dey (chairman-cum-headman), Dhruva Choudhury (deputy chairman-cum-deputy headman), Pinaki Das (general secretary), Joydeep Das (finance secretary) and Amitava Ghosh (joint secretary).
