Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh laid the foundation stone for the construction of an indoor sports hall/multi-utility centre at Lummawbah today.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs 1.55 crore. The hall will have space for a badminton court, boxing ring and office.
Also present on the occasion was cabinet minister and Mylliem MLA Hamletson Dohling as well as Chief Engineer JNS Lakiang.
The project was sanctioned in January 2020 but the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic delayed construction work.
