Assembly Speaker and UDP president Metbah Lyngdoh said his party fully endorsed the resignation of party colleague Lahkmen Rymbui as Home Minister.
“As the party we fully support his decision and we request the chief minister to relieve him of the home portfolio so that a fair and transparent enquiry will take place on the incident that led to the killing of Cherishterfield Thangkhiew,” Lyngdoh told media persons here today.
He also said that Rymbui had briefed the party leaders during a meeting held yesterday about the incident and that he wanted to be relieved of the home portfolio
