The Federation of Khasi, Jaiñtia and Garo People (FKJGP) of East Jaiñtia Hills has demanded that the State government operationalise the health sub-centre at Kuliang, which has been abandoned for the past six years.
President of the FKJGP unit, M Suting said, “We are concerned about the delay of the Health Department to make the sub-centre at Kuliang functional.”
He said that the sub-centre would benefit villages in the border area of the district, including Kuliang, Borsora, Leijri, Pyrtakuna and other adjacent villages, especially as they try to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic.
