BJP MLA, Sanbor Shullai today said that financial assistance should reach the poorest of the poor and deserving families.
Condemning corrupt activities in the State, Shullai spoke about the so-called rice scam in the Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP) run by the Social Welfare Department.
“You can steal and amass wealth as much as you want. Build buildings and buy luxurious cars, but one day all you will need is a six by four feet graveyard or a container to collect the ashes. They steal like they will be able to take everything along with them when they die,” he said.
Shullai was speaking at a relief programme in his constituency on Wednesday wherein he provided Rs 2000 to each BPL families.
