A man was seriously injured after he was attacked in his house near Shella in the wee hours of today.
According to police, today at around 2 am, unknown miscreants forcibly entered the house of Sanjit Synrem at Kalatek village under the jurisdiction of Shella police station.
The miscreants attacked Synrem with a machete and as a result, he sustained severe injuries.
The victim was shifted to Super Care Hospital, Shillong for medical treatment.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
