The Marboh and Marwein families have expressed their thanks to those who responded to their appeal to trace Isabella Marboh after they reported her missing but distanced themselves from the woman’s actions.
Marboh, who had married into the Marwein family, went missing on Friday morning and her family issued an appeal for help in locating her. She was found on Monday in the Bishnupur branch of Meghalaya Rural Bank, having apparently been there since Friday. A police complaint was registered against her for attempted robbery and she was arrested today.
“We would like to express our gratitude to people involved in trying to locate Isabella Marboh from day one when she went missing. We would like to thank the Dorbar Shnong and residents of New Kench’s Trace, relatives and friends who stood by us in time of need. We would like to thank the Laban Police Station and the print and electronic media for their dedication and hard work to locate Isabella,” a statement on behalf of her relatives said today. “We would also like to clarify that we have no knowledge and we do not condone the actions committed by Isabella. The act was her own personal choice and the families don’t stand by her acts.”
