In a bid to cater to the need of the people of Ri-Bhoi in fighting against Covid-19, Jiran MLA Sosthenes Sohtun has set up a Corona Care Centre (CCC) in Byrnihat to accommodate those with mild cases of the disease.
The CCC has been set up on the campus of the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Byrnihat.
Sohtun plans to set up another CCC at the Patharkhmah Community Health Centre.
“I took this initiative to set up this corona care centre to ease the plight of the local people who are infected with Covid-19, as the only CCC set up by the district administration will not be able to accommodate all the patients in the district,” Sohtun said.
