The verdict on the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) has to be given by the public and not by the government itself, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said today as the coalition government approaches its third birthday.
Tynsong said that the people will be able to give their verdict on the MDA at the next general election, which will have to be held by early 2023. The government will complete its third year on March 6.
“Politically, if we praise our own achievements, it will be like blowing our own trumpet. We will leave it to the people of the state who will judge the groundwork, whether development has taken place or not in the different sectors,” Tynsong said.
As far as roads go, the Deputy CM, who is also Public Works Department (Roads) Minister, said that he has given special focus on this subject for the benefit of Meghalayans.
