Two female contractual employees at the College of Post Graduate in Agricultural Science of Central Agricultural University, located in Umiam, Ri-Bhoi district, have filed an FIR with police accusing the Dean of sexual harassment.
The two women are employed as daily labourers at the college and filed the complaint at Umiam Police Station yesterday.
According to the FIR, the Dean, Jitendra Chauhan, is given to summoning women to the college guest house on the pretext of official work but actually for his “sexual interest”.
The women urged the police to act on their FIR as this behaviour of the Dean posts a threat to other women employed in the college.
