Responding to apparent complaints of concerned citizens, the A’chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM) Vice-President Georgeprince Ch Momin filed an FIR with police against the alleged illegal transport of coal and overloaded trucks in South Garo Hills yesterday.
“It has been learnt that many coal trucks, especially those in Gasuapara, have been travelling without challans, which is required to transport the auctioned coal,” Momin said.
The illegal transport is robbing the state of revenue while they being overloaded is damaging roads in the area.
