Meghalaya police informed today that another two coal trucks were seized and five people arrested in connection with a case of suspected illegal coal mining.
Yesterday, Assistant Inspector General of Police GK Iangrai said that three trucks were seized after raids by police and magistrates in Umpleng and Sakhain villages in East Jaiñtia Hills.
“The investigation is still ensuing to ascertain the facts and circumstances of the case,” Iangrai said today.
