The MUDA Shopping Complex’s parking lot in Nongpoh has turned into a haven for drug addicts, the Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) said today.
Members of the NGO had raided the parking lot and caught three youth involved in taking drugs. They reportedly told the HNYF that it is their favourite hangout to also consume alcohol and gamble. The pressure group also said that it had received numerous complaints of theft from cars parked in the area.
The HNYF demanded that the authorities put a halt to illegal activities in the government-run parking lot.
