Meghalaya police has informed that there are three websites carrying fake recruitment information and urged people to rely only on its official website.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Assistant Inspector General of Police (A) GK Iangrai said three websites, https://prepp.in, https://www.fresherslive.com and https://www.freshersnow.com, have been publishing information in their respective websites that, Meghalaya Police will be conducting the written examination for the various recruitment posts that are available in the Meghalaya Police Department in November 2020.
“The Department herby clarifies that, the information as published in these websites are “FAKE NEWS” as the department has not issued any official communication regarding the conduct of exams against the existing vacancy,” he said.
The general public are also urged to check the department’s website (megpolice.gov.in) for further information regarding the conduct of Physical Endurance Test (PET) and subsequent exams.
