State Transport and Urban Affairs Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar has tested positive for Covid-19, Director of Health Services Dr Aman War informed.
He said that Dhar tested positive two days back even though he has no travel history. Contact tracing is on, he added.
Dhar is the third Cabinet Minister in the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance to have contracted the virus.
Earlier, Power minister James K Sangma tested positive at Imphal in Manipur on September 12. He has now recovered.
