The Shillong Khasi Jaintia Church Leaders Forum (SKJCLF) has strongly condemned the act of vivisepulture or burying alive of Moris Marngar by his relatives in the village of Nongdisong in West Khasi Hills on October 7.
“This is an act of great evil, which has debased and degraded the whole Khasi community,” the SKJCLF said.
It also appealed to the community not to fall into superstition which leads to the taking of a human life; and at the same time to avoid taking the law into their own hands, and also to shun acts against humanity and human existence.
