The Meghalaya frontier of the Border Security Force (BSF) today kick started the ‘Jan Andolan for COVID-19’ campaign in the State.
The campaign was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling for appropriate behaviour in view of the upcoming festivals and winter season as well as the opening up of the economy.
The BSF has resolved to spread awareness among the people to wear mask, wash hands and follow social distancing by maintaining ‘Do Gaz ki Doori’.
BSF unit/headquarter deployed along the Indo-Bangladesh border under Meghalaya took pledge to take proper collective dissemination of precautionary measures on all platforms throughout the State during the campaign.
“BSF personnel are determined to defeat Covid-19 through collective determination and discipline,” BSF DIG UK Nayal said. He also appealed to the people to follow the social distancing and other norms to fight Covid-19.
