The week long program on the inspection of various state and central projects currently being undertaken in Garo Hills concluded yesterday with a meeting between various line departments and the sub-committee on Public Accounts.
The concluding meeting was held at the Tura Circuit House.
In the final meeting the Committee reviewed expenditure, site and revenue sector of different line departments including Power, PWD Roads, PHE, C&RD, Food & Civil Supply, Forest & Environment, Transport and Taxation.
Earlier the Sub Committee held district level meetings in North Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills, including site inspections of various projects in South West Garo Hills.
The state level meeting had brought up many pending issues observed in the CAG report from 2011 pertaining to several departments including the revenue sectors which were taken up.
A time of one month has been given to various departments to submit the reports to the PAC over the status of projects being undertaken within the state to the various line departments in question.
