Shillong, Nov 4: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly participated in the two-day national conference of chairpersons of PAcs held on November 3 and 4 at the Kerala Legislative Assembly in Thiruvananthapuram.
The Meghalaya PAC was represented by Chairperson Miani D. Shira and members Dr Celestine Lyngdoh and Rupa M. Marak.
The conference was attended by chairpersons and members of PACs from Parliament and various State and Union Territory Legislatures.
After deliberations in the plenary session on audit, accountability and good governance and the evolving role of PACs, the participants adopted a resolution to strengthen audit accountability and good governance.
