Shillong, Nov 3: IA Ayurvedic Medical College (IAMC), a constituent institution of USTM, celebrated its 4th foundation day on Tuesday attended by academicians, faculty members, officials and students.
The celebration began with hoisting of the college flag by USTM Vice-Chancellor Prof GD Sharma, along with IAMC Principal Prof (Dr) Anil Kr. Sharma, followed by a cultural rally to the auditorium.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Sharma highlighted the importance of academic excellence and institutional development. Dr Amal Ch. Kataki, Director of Medical Administration, PA Sangma International Medical College & Hospital (PIMC), also spoke on the occasion.
Guest of honour Mayur Bora, Author-in-Residence, USTM, and resource person Dr Suvendu Sankar Kar, Senior Manager, Scientific Services, Himalaya Wellness Centre, spoke on the significance of Ayurveda and its relevance in contemporary healthcare.
