Shillong, Oct 20: A petrol bomb was hurled by unidentified miscreants at the ground floor of the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training (DECT) office building on Keating Road, opposite Civil Hospital, Shillong, at around 7 pm on Tuesday.
Local residents doused the fire and said they did not see those who hurled the bomb.
The incident occurred amid tight security deployment in the city in view of Durga Puja.
Police reached the spot shortly after and launched a search operation to trace those involved.
