Shillong, Oct 9: Those who filed representations before the fact-finding committee probing the Shree Cement’s proposed plant in East Jaintia Hills can appear in person on October 13 at Circuit House, Khliehriat from 10 am with original documents, the Deputy Commissioner has informed.
The state government had constituted the committee chaired by Commissioner & Secretary Cyril VD Diengdoh, to inquire into the disruption of the July 31 public hearing called by the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board, and the environmental, social, legal and criminal impact of the project.
The committee had earlier invited public representations till September 29 via hard copy and email.
