Tura, Oct 4: The search for missing Tura driver Samuel R Marak ended in tragedy after his body was recovered and identified by his relatives several days after he went missing.
Marak was last seen around 1pm on September 28 at Akonggre Pickup Stand in Tura, where he was working as the driver of a Mahindra pickup (ML 08H 2862).
After he failed to return, his wife, Posna D Shira, lodged a missing person complaint at Tura Police Station on September 30.
Marak’s body was subsequently recovered and identified by his relatives. A post-mortem examination was conducted at the site, according to the information available.
The condition of the body suggested that it may have been at the location for several days, matching the period since Samuel went missing. However, the exact cause and circumstances of his death have not yet been established.
