Shillong, Jun 25: Adding another feather to her cap, Riiohlang Dhar has been named as a match official for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2026, which will be held in Poland in September.
This was announced by the All India Football Federation today on social media.
After officiating at the U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2024 in the Dominican Republic, this will be the second FIFA tournament appointment for Riiohlang, a FIFA-qualified assistant referee, “who continues to be an inspiration for the next generation of Indian match officials,” the AIFF said.
Riiohlang has officiated at numerous international events over the years. 2024 also saw her appointed as an official at the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup in Indonesia and this year she officiated at the same tournament in China.
The serving policewoman received the U Kiang Nangbah Award for Sports in January this year.
