Shillong, Jun 24: Indus Towers Ltd, in partnership with Shishu Sarothi, announced the 10th edition of the Indus Towers Scholarship Program (2026–27) for students with disabilities in India.
Indus Towers Ltd is one of the world’s largest telecom infrastructure companies and has partnered with Shishu Sarothi Centre for Rehabilitation and Training for Multiple Disability, a registered non-profit organisation, for the scholarships.
The programme has extended financial support to over 900 deserving students with disabilities, enabling them to pursue their educational aspirations.
Under ITSP 2026–27, financial assistance will be provided to 200 students with disabilities across India, enabling them to pursue a wide range of educational and skill-development opportunities, including vocational and skills training, certificate programmes and coaching for employment-oriented competitive examinations, higher secondary education, master’s programmes and diploma courses, graduation and postgraduate degree programmes.
In addition to financial assistance, the program includes awareness sessions on rights and entitlements under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act 2016, aimed at motivating, guiding and supporting scholars in their academic and professional journeys.
