Shillong, May 19: The State Rural Employment Society (SRES), the State Nodal Implementing Agency for the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA), has launched the IEC campaign ‘Jan Bhagidaari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle’ to spread awareness on tribal welfare schemes and conduct Beneficiary Saturation Camps across Meghalaya.
The campaign will run from May 18 to May 25, 2026, to cover 1,437 villages.
Following last year’s IEC drive, districts under DA-JGUA will now revive the campaign to ensure saturation of benefits at the grassroots.
The initiative will focus on field contact, service saturation, health outreach, and livelihood visibility.
It will also serve as a platform to gather feedback from beneficiaries on the Abhiyan and share success stories and learnings. During the campaign period, all eligible benefits from Central and State Government schemes will be extended to the tribal population.
Key components of the IEC campaign include organized camps at village and cluster levels for on-ground delivery of essential entitlements, awareness sessions to inform local communities about government schemes, and multi-departmental coordination to ensure streamlined service delivery and effective communication.
The campaign underscores the commitment of government stakeholders to maximize outreach, encourage active community participation, and ensure the success of the IEC drive. All stakeholders have been urged to actively support the initiative to strengthen the implementation of welfare schemes and advance sustainable development in tribal areas.
