Shillong, Mar 23: NCC cadets of the 61 Senior Division (SD) and Senior Wing (SW) from the 42 Meghalaya battalion concluded their adventure camp today in East Jaintia Hills district, exploring limestone caves to build leadership, resilience, and team skills.
The ‘Spelunking & Rappelling Adventure Camp’, which began on March 17, was held at Shnongrim village.
Cadets explored the majestic Krem Liat Prah, Meghalaya’s largest limestone cave, delving into its depths and marvelling at its geological wonders.
With expert guidance from the Meghalaya Mountaineering Association, cadets conquered an overhang rock face, pushing their limits and building confidence. The cadets also received specialised training in knots, lashes, and rappelling equipment handling, equipping them with essential skills for future adventures.
