Shillong, Mar 18: About 48,490 people have been affected and 13,076 homes were left damaged across Meghalaya by heavy storm.
According to a report by the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) today, as many as 745 villages in 30 blocks were affected by storm, hailstorm and lightning, leaving one dead and another injured as on March 17.
The number of infrastructure damage is 66 and about 0.4 hectares of standing crops were destroyed, it added.
